Beer Brewery Sint-Sixtus Trappisten is a beer brewery from Westvleteren (Belgium) that was founded in 1838. This brewery has 3 beers in its range. The brewery of the Sint-Sixtus Abbey aims to provide financing for the operation of the Abbey and its social works. The Trappist Westvleteren is brewed by the monks of the Sint-Sixtus Abbey. Five natural raw materials are used to brew three Trappist beers: Blond, 8 and 12. Each has its own colour, taste and aroma. All beers are unfiltered and unpasteurised, with secondary fermentation in the bottle. All this benefits their taste and aroma. The Trappist Westvleteren is brewed and bottled within the Abbey and only offered for sale on site. Wooden crates of 24 bottles in the Abbey itself and a small package of 6 bottles in the meeting centre ā€œIn de Vredeā€. The Trappist Westvleteren meets the strict regulations of the International Trappist Association and therefore also carries the logo ā€œAuthentic Trappist Productā€.
